Work in Progress...I and Amity

It was 9th August, when I joined Amity University for pursuing my B.tech in mechanical & automation engineering. The general hostel format in amity is to place students with common courses together in its hostel at sector-125 Amity campus but thanks to me joining Amity late I ended up in new section made for late entry at fourth floor of the Amity hostel at Amity Campus in sector-44. Our floor was comprised of students from all the different courses in amity not just engineering, it was basically a huge hall in which partitions with board were created, so it was like we were all living together in a home just in different rooms. I got mixed up with everyone on the floor on the first day only. It was really a great time there.

First day in college was surely full of mixed emotions, a part of me was scared of new environment, people and not to mention ragging & while I was also excited about new environment, meeting new peoples and even experiencing ragging, though the last one never happened thanks to amity’s strictness against it. The first few days were a not very smooth as there were a lot of formalities before actually joining classes like getting registered in the department which is not an easy thing and I still don’t understand why do we have to do it every year when we were registered with Amity while joining it, also we all classmates were total strangers for each other. However, I made some really good friends very soon and hence my college life began.

College was now a new word for fun, everything was going great but then came the first semester results, result was pretty bad but I ignored it thinking that I will improve it in future, and this way by the end of first year, I was having real bad score, I mean a REALLY VERY BAD SCORE, it was a shock but then I got serious about studies and worked hard , attended classes regularly and in third semester I was among the toppers of the class, after that my results have been okay till now. Amity taught me many things not just about my course but about life actually more about life then in my course. While joining amity I was a naive, immature, gullible kid, I know there is a lot more to learn yet and there will always, but I know that I have matured since joining it. It turned me in to a better person who can deal with the outside world better.

The environment, infrastructure provided by Amity is incomparable to any other institute of its kind. It gave me some real friend whom I will treasure for my life and some great gurus who made me what I am today. Finally I would like to say one last thing that I am going to miss my days at Amity throughout my life.
