Four years and life has changed, in
dimensions no one could have thought of. It was just another day at Amity, when
we were asked to write about our four years of engineering when started the
time of retrospection and reminiscence because frankly speaking, it is hard to pin
down moments that make you who you are and moments which you would cherish for
the rest of life.
It was 2010 when I started the quest for
colleges. My school was nearby and Amity , being one of the last options
eventually ended up being ‘The One’ for me, but never have I regretted it . In
fact I will always be grateful for living the ‘Amity Experience’ and can say
that things always end up for good as there is more than meets the eye. Never
would I have realized then, that a college can give me so much that can change
a person.
So we were here in the end of July, 2010,
all waiting in anticipation of events to come forth. Taking steps with caution
we realized that it was not what we aspired for but for what was given to us.
Things became simple and as days passed, all of us had our time of getting to
know each other. The term ‘Mechanical’ often became a symbol of unity and
friendship and all were up in excitement for any challenge, what may come.
There were instances we all wished that could have been changed or eased out,
however it was all part of the learning process .Whether it be fun in class, or
during excursions, the moment of belongingness became even stronger with each
passing day. Friendship bonds us together and last with you for times ahead to
come. Whether it be in class or outside, I found a fellow friend whom I can
truly trust and share my feelings with. Faculties who had given true guidance
were the ones who had shown how not to fret about issues. Now that we are
almost done with engineering, there seems to be a void that can’t be filled
ever again. Such is the power of college that you live a different life inside
and soon to be a part of corporate, you realize that those were your golden
years of cherishment and zeal.
Well, I am still left with a year of Masters,
part of the dual degree, but times will not be the same as before. Friends that
stay with you throughout 4 years are friends that you have earned and will
still be with you for the rest of your life. So rest assured, those days
unfortunately never will come back and I can look back and happily treasure the
fact that I had enjoyed every part of it.
