My college experience

College is the stepping stone from High School to the real world. Amity University has truly changed me as a person. College is intended not only to teach us knowledge, but also to prepare us for the next part of life. Not all college students get this preparation though. Those students are the ones that live at home and commute to school every day. These students miss out on the entire college culture.

The biggest adaptation I have had to make in my life was moving to a PG opposite Gate No. 2 Amity University. Not only was it totally different from high school in relation to the
content of classes and homework, but it was also completely different from my
home life. I was living on my own, with new surroundings and new people.
Needless to say, this was something like I had never experienced before.
Generally, college classes aren't that much more difficult than high
school courses. The big difference is that in college I have to do all of my
homework outside of class. Many of the wonderful people I have met during my college experience have each left a special place in my heart and mind. So far, the college experience has made me a changed person. College changed me into a better person on many occasions. I have learned to be more responsible, when it comes down to getting work done. In college you must be responsible.

My college experience started about four years ago. I knew it was not going to be easy, but I was unsure of what was ahead of me. The one word that describes the feelings I first had during my first year at Amity is responsibility, which I experienced academically, socially and even economically. My college experience was not like any other college student would describe it. Most college students say that you have a lot of time on your hands because classes are so spread out, but things did not go this way for me. Mechanical Engineering at Amity University has a different way of doing things.

Everybody knows that college is academically a step higher than high school. I grew more responsible academically because my classes were very straight to the point, and the teachers spoke with great knowledge. Mechanical Engineering has a tight schedule here at Amity University. For me that meant 9:15 a.m. until 5:50 p.m. classes with one hour break. I had to keep up with tests and homework in very short periods. It took a lot of responsibility for me to accomplish this.

Amity has been a major part of my life and will remain so in the future always.
